What Trizlink stores in your browser, why, and how to refuse it.

What are cookies?

Small files a site stores in your browser so it can recognise the same browser later. This page uses "cookies" to cover cookies proper and the equivalent browser storage — local storage and session storage — because they raise the same questions.

How we use cookies

To keep you signed in between visits, to remember your appearance settings, to keep a form you were half way through, and to measure how the product is used.

Types of cookies we use

Essential — sign-in, security and load balancing. The service does not work without them, so they cannot be turned off.

Preference — appearance, colour treatment, density, text size, motion and sound. Refusing them costs you your settings, not the product.

Analytics — which pages are used and how. This includes SESSION RECORDING through Microsoft Clarity, which replays how a page was used rather than only counting that it was visited; what you type into a field is masked before it leaves your browser. Clarity sets its own cookies as a separate controller under its own policy. Stated the same way in the privacy policy.

Third-party cookies

Our authentication, payment and analytics providers set their own cookies under their own policies. We do not permit advertising networks to set cookies through Trizlink.

Session vs persistent cookies

Session storage is discarded when you close the tab. Persistent storage survives, which is what keeps you signed in and keeps your appearance settings between visits.

How to manage cookies

Every browser can block or clear cookies for a site, and most can do it per site rather than globally. Clearing them signs you out of Trizlink and resets your appearance settings to their defaults.

Impact of blocking cookies

Blocking essential cookies stops sign-in from working at all. Blocking preference cookies leaves the product working and your settings forgotten on every visit.

Tracking in mobile apps

The Android app does not use browser cookies. It stores the equivalent values in the device's own secure storage, and clearing the app's data has the same effect as clearing cookies on the web.

Changes to this cookie policy

Updated whenever what we store changes, with the date at the top of the page kept current.
